Komaki (小牧市 Komaki-shi?) is a city located in Aichi, Japan. It is commonly associated with the former Nagoya Airport, which is partly located in the city. The other part is in the city of Kasugai. As of January 1, 2008, the city has an estimated population of 149,060 and the density of 2,370 persons per km². The total area is 62.82 km².

Festivals

Ever year on March 15 the citizens of Komaki celebrate Hōnen Matsuri, a fertility festival with wide infamy.

Education

The city has two universities, Aichi Bunkyo University and Nagoya Zokei University.

Sister Cities

Each year, Wyandotte and Komaki have an exchange student program, allowing students to be hosted by a family in the other city.
